Pulp/Gothic/Eldritch Horror Update

In this round of catch up, I present all the horror figures and investigators I've finished since April.  Rapidly becoming one of the largest facets of my collection to be honest. I've also lumped steampunk stuff in here as well.

Snow Troll from Heresy Miniatures. A lovely resin model that was a lot of fun to paint. I may at some point go back and add blood effects to him and the base once he's fought some battles.

Theoretically this is Lord Curr from the Northstar range produced for In Her Majesties Name. I will obviously be adding him to my steampunk/Gothic horror collection.

A couple of Cossack monster hunters. The archer is from Privateer Press, and I "think" the other one is from Bears Head but I may be forgetting.

This investigator is a mystery figure I got with some stuff off ebay. She'll make a good explorer/occultist.

Gothic horror fellow I I believe is from West Wind.

Old RAFM Ghouls for the Call of Cthulhu range, sculpted by Bob Murch I believe. Love how they turned out.

Brigade Games Lighthouse Keepers from their latest Cthulhu kickstarter. They'll go well with my Sarissa Lighthouse!

Egyptian Cultists. Who doesn't need cultists by the bucket load?! These ones I attempted to do with an inverted ankh on their chests.

Dracula's resting place. Sculpted and sold by Bob Murch at Pulp Figures.

Bears Head Minis Ghoul. This things right around 54-60mm I think. Painted up a treat.

A very angry mummy from Northstar.

These two ladies are from Bob Murch's Pulp Figures. They were very easy to paint. His sculpting style is very conducive to the painter.

Re-purposed Konflict 47 werewolves painted up as just normal werewolves vs Weird WW2 ones. Very happy with how their fur turned out.

I really need to actually get all this stuff to the table. Halloween was the perfect chance but I was busy sorting out candy for all the little ghosts and spiderman's running around the neighborhood. Soon. Watch this space.

Catching Up on January - March

It's been a rough year so far - came off quarantine after recovering from COVID, and then had to go off immediately again because my mother became very ill and then passed away. So, painting and hobbying have been a major stress relief for me; and while I haven't posted much; I've definitely been somewhat productive.

I'm very much planning on doing better about posting more as I finish things; and there are loads of projects on the go. Hopefully one of which will be showcased in the next couple days! Now, lets see what I've been up to -

Zombicide Black Plague Necromancer

28mm Pulp Hero from Pulp Figures

1/2400 CSS Manassas

28mm Flock of Sheep from Gripping Beast

Three more 28mm Pulp Heroes from either Pulp Figures or Crooked Dice

Ten 28mm Bolshevik/Soviet Infantry from Baker Company

Pre Christmas Hobbying

Finally trying to get a more "up to date" update schedule going to fit in with the fact that with all the crap going on in the world - I am desperately trying to enforce my standard rule of at least 15 minutes of hobbying/painting a day to help de-stress. It really does help. So, without further ado -

Completed 4 more Gripping Beast 54mm Gladiators, giving me a total of 6 done. More than enough for a game, so will hopefully be able to make that happen soon.

Assembled a 4Ground 28mm Wagon that'll be very useful in a variety of games and periods!

Finished this 15mm garage/workshop/back garden shed in a continuation of expanding my European buildings for Chain of Command etc. Really need to get on with further terrain building for this as I need pretty much everything for a battlefield - roads, hedges, streams, rivers, farm fields etc.

First five 20mm Insurgents finished, going to need to get these forces built up to a minimum of 45 figures eventually for various historical and "what if" scenarios.

Finished another "28mm" Bob Olley Steampunk Dwarf. I put 28mm in "" because while they are lovely sculpts and a LOT of fun to paint...they are bloody huge chunky figures and I'm not sure what to use them for as they don't match up with anything else I have.

Finished these two Pulp Figures - Gun Mollie and a gold Statue. Love them both. They're sculpted by Bob Murch up in Canada at Pulp Figures. I highly recommend all of his ranges!

So, that's what I've been working on since my last update. Further posts coming soon on several subjects to include Naval Wargaming, Mental Health, virtual wargaming, and various other projects and subjects. Also need to do my plan for next year post. Stay Safe and Merry Christmas!
