Guildball Union Team (1)

Made a start on the Union for Guildball back in July and then sputtered out.  I'll come back to them eventually as they are lovely figures and we still play using Season 3 rules. If you can acquire them, they are great!

An added benefit is that the figures will work for pretty much any other non sci fi system in some way shape or form as well.

More Guild Ball Farmers

Busy couple of weeks here in KC, as kids are going back to school, vacations are ending.  This has meant we're back in the workshop and out doing bids, which is cutting into hobby time, but I'm still trying to get a little work in every day to maintain sanity.

Finished up 6 more Guild Ball Farmers the other day -

From Left - Thresher, Bushel, Jackstraw and Peck, Fallow, and Grange

This means I can now play games with a fully painted team.  Now just have to finish the rest of them.

Fallow

Peck

Grange

Thresher

Bushel

Jackstraw
Couple things to note -

  1. I really should try again at the whole, "painting eyes" thing.  A project for another day.
  2. The patchwork quilt on Jackstraw was a bloody pain in the ass, but I'm damn happy with how it turned out.
That's all for now.

Sci-Fi Troopers: TAU (Kill Team)

A couple weeks ago, I erroneously posted on the twitter-verse that I was "not interested and not going to get into GW's "Kill Team".  At the time, I really wasn't.  Buuuuuuuut, my good gaming buddy Kev bought the box set and has been bugging me non stop since then.

So, because I had some Tau sitting around for a sci-fi project that's on the back burner (not anything related to 40k), I finally succumbed and told him I'd paint them up.  Which leads to this post and an ACHIEVEMENT!

Below, you will see a picture of 10 Tau infantry, 2 Drones, and a Tactical Turret........which I FINISHED in about 4hrs.  They're nothing special, but it's literally the fastest turn around I've ever had for finishing models.  13 figures in 4hrs.  I'm very pleased.

Note, I painted them in a desert style to meld with my still on the back burner sci-fi project, but they'll work for "Kill Team" and Kev's happy.  So good all around.  Now to see if he's mastered the rules enough to teach it to me.

That's all for now, couple more posts coming soon with more intros to my MOP forces, and some Guild Ball goodness.  Thanks for reading!

6MMRPC Guild Ball Farmers - Windle

The first finished figure(s) for the currently running 6MMRPC are Windle from the Farmers team for Guild Ball, and two "balls" a pumpkin and radish!

I absolutely love the new style of Guild Ball and how Steamforged is releasing thematic terrain and balls for each team in the starter packs.  Hope you guys like 'em.

Windle and his balls haha!

1st Post of 2017! Guildball Butchers -

Hello all! Happy New Years to you all...bit late on that, but life's been busy.  Let's start with a quick rundown of last years stats.  Due to the deployment, my numbers for 2016 are way down compared to 2015 but gives me a goal to beat for 2017 -

2016 Finished Figures - 46
2016 Finished Terrain Pieces - 1
2016 Games Played - 4

So the only thing I beat in 2016 was the games played, which to my mind is a positive.
Games Played last year were -
Space Hulk x1
Frostgrave x1
Guildball x2

Now on to the first finished figures of 2017! My first 8 Guildball: Butchers - The KC Slaughterhouse

Ox (Captain) & Princess (Mascot)

Brisket (Striker) & Boiler (Winger)

Fillet (Captain/Striker) & Meathook (Attacking Midfielder)

Boar (Attacking Midfielder) & Tenderiser (Goalkeeper)

The KC Slaughterhouse!

I greatly enjoyed painting this team, and am having to force myself now to concentrating on other projects vs jumping right into painting my next team!  They're lovely figures, though some are a bit fiddly to assemble.

I also finished these two Reaper Bones figures - a Ghost and a Clay Golem.  These two will see combat in many systems such as Frostgrave or SoBH.

Not a bad start to the year I'm thinking!
