6MMRPC - Zombtober #3

So, up this week for zombies are these two gnarly gents -

The hospital patient is a Reaper mini, loads of detail (as you can see in the rear pic). Pretty happy with how he's turned out.

The 2nd one I painted up as a sort of old hippie working as a greeter at a hunting or camping store.  He's a Studio Miniatures fig from I believe their "Zombie Horde 1" set.

Side note - ABSOLUTELY LOVE the new technical paint from GW - "Blood for the Blood God". If you don't have any, go buy some...ASAP. You'll thank me later.

  2. Definitely a big fan of Patient Zed and your painting has really brought it to (un)life :-) Not such a fan of the sculpting on the Hippie, but it looks alright and your painting certainly makes it look better. What paint did you use for the patient's zombie flesh please?

    1. Thanks! The paint scheme for all my zombie flesh is simple - Undercoat with Army Painter Necrotic Flesh spraypaint, paint all clothing etc, then brush on Army Painter Dark Tone Dip. Then matte varnish, and blood effects.

  3. As a healthcare worker I have to admit that is a great sculpt of a patient. The front of the gown is probably on/squared up a bit too well, but the back is quite accurate.

    Nicely painted.

Love the patient! You realise the old hippie is a zombie George A. Romero, nice job on him too dude!
