Star Wars and Medieval Zombies

It's been a busy couple of weeks here at the War Room.  Side job, FD, and life have been ridiculous lately.  I did however manage to get some things painted -

First up C3PO and Darth Vadar for Imperial Assault.  Several friends have expressed interest in some Star Wars gaming either with IA or some other sci-fi ruleset still to be determined, so I'm slowly trying to paint the figures I have.

As much as I would LOVE to do OSL, I'm going for tabletop standard.  May go back at some point and redo him, but for now, he'll work.

The medieval zombies are more of the Gripping Beast Revenants set, slowly but surely working my way through them.  They, plus the zombies from Zombicide: Black Plague will make quite the nice horde for games set from Roman times on up to late medieval.

I'd like to note that with the completion of these 5 figures, I have surpassed the 2015 painting numbers, making 2018 the 2nd most productive year since I got back into the hobby!

Soviets, Star Wars, and Dark Age Fantasy

So, here's my first update of the 3MMRPC. It's been a busy week on both the painting and gaming front. We'll detail the painting below, but on the gaming front - I've had to intro games of GuildBall and I must say that I love it! My next update will have my soon to be finished starter set of butchers, planning and thoughts on my scratchbuilt goal and the pitch I'm building.  Confession time, I spent my last two jokers on fleshing out my team, they should be arriving soon.

Now, on to what I've finished this week -
Thirty one 15mm Soviet Infantry Platoon for Chain of Command. Their Wehrmacht opponents are on the paint tray for later in the challenge.

Han Solo and Luke Skywalker for Imperial Assault.

An old Ral Partha figure that I will be using as Melisandre from Game of Thrones Dragon Rampant games.

Shieldmaiden from Bad Squiddo Games. I'm not the best freehand painter of designs, or very good at eyes sooooo I didn't do this figure justice.

Painting "Imperial Assault" (1)

So, I picked up "Imperial Assault" at my FLGS a couple weeks ago, opened the box and promptly decided I was going to paint all the figures in it.

They have all been cleaned up and spray undercoated and are sat on my painting desk. I have only managed to get two done so far -

Wookies!

Tons of fun to paint! These are the best models Fantasy Flight Games has put into a game yet, and I especially like the fact they're not the extremely bendy plastic from the likes of Wiz Kids etc. Keep following along, I've got some of tha baddies coming soon.
