I find it works better and you don’t get pooling in/on areas you don’t want there to be pooling.

Also, all the dips dry shiny, so a matte varnish finish is always a must if ye don’t want shiny figures. A protective layer, with a subtle colour change - genius! Thank you also for the flock recipe, I just like the way it looks as a nice alternative to static grass. I was going for that very dark grey you find on some pitbulls and similar breeds, so - The black body was sprayed with black matte automotive sandable primer then very lightly drybrushed with Vallejo London Grey. After I finished the rest of the painting, I varnished with Army Painter Strong Tone dip and then spray matte varnish.

My flock mixture is detailed in this post - https://historyspiderweb.blogspot.com/2017/09/im-still-here-and-with-painted-figures.html

Hope that all helps!Spiderweb of Historyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02139613680774779747noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5995371311663865262.post-66115247056583190072018-07-05T12:14:15.674-07:002018-07-05T12:14:15.674-07:00Wow! Whatever it is, it has worked really well. I am also intrigued by the basing and what you have used, again I just love the effect.Michael Awdryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07049982879661559305noreply@blogger.com
