Welcome Everybody to the Wild Wild West (1)

Just completed these here Wild West figures from Great Escape Games: Dead Mans Hand range. From start to finish, took me about 3 days, and I'm really happy with them. Being from Kansas, I've always had an interest in gaming the old west, so when my sister gifted me some money and stipulated that it had to be spent on fun and not bills, I bought these, plus another posse, the rules, and the counters.

And an all together shot -

Next up on the painting desk is the "Last of the Mohicans" blister from Warlord. My Dads birthday is coming up in August, and as that is his favorite movie, and French & Indian War is one of his favorite periods to play, I'm going to paint up the set and give them to him for his bday. Don't any of you lot tell him!

Old Fantasy and A Terrain Piece

I've had these old, (I think they're Ral Partha) fantasy figures since I was about 8 years old and I figured they'd be ok for use in stuff like Open Combat or SoBH.

If anybody knows for sure what manufacturer they are, let me know.

I also got this small area terrain base finished.

Got it from the KS for Worldsmith Terrain from last year.

Painting "Imperial Assault" (1)

So, I picked up "Imperial Assault" at my FLGS a couple weeks ago, opened the box and promptly decided I was going to paint all the figures in it.

They have all been cleaned up and spray undercoated and are sat on my painting desk. I have only managed to get two done so far -

Wookies!

Tons of fun to paint! These are the best models Fantasy Flight Games has put into a game yet, and I especially like the fact they're not the extremely bendy plastic from the likes of Wiz Kids etc. Keep following along, I've got some of tha baddies coming soon.

Celtic Skirmishers and Roman Scorpio's

Slowly but surely my 1/72 scale Celtic and Roman armies keep growing.

Here's three bases worth of Celtic Skirmishers. Made up of a mix of Airfix, ESCI, Revell, HaT figures.

Here we have three Scorpio's plus crew. If I remember correctly, these are all HaT figures.

As stated long ago when I first started this blog, I'm unsure what ruleset I'm going to be using for my ancient's gaming, though as of right now, I have WAB, Hail Caesar, and Sword & Spear. I figure I'll give them all a go and choose the one I like best.

ANZAC's in Vietnam (2)

So, things have been a bit slow on the painting front lately, but I did manage to get these done -

Command Base

Medic base

I'm actually rather surprised, these are my first 15mm figures ever painted, and I had a blast with them. My goal is to get the rest of the platoon finished before the  end of April.
